ABOUT OUR CAUSE
What We Stand For
The purpose of our event is to spread awareness about childhood cancer. Some people may not know, but childhood cancer is one of the least funded for cancer research. Children that are diagnosed are still using some medications that are over 30 years old. (Have not been improved/ updated). We deeply care about educating people and spreading more awareness because it is very important to us, and others. Elli Velissarakos and Gabriella Iannarelli deeply care about childhood cancer, and we want everyone to be apart of the impact of spreading awareness about the cause. Childhood cancer is truly no different than other cancers, and deserves more attention.

A Chance to Give Back
On January 10th, we held a fundraising night at Chipotle to spread awareness about Team Mathias and Childhood cancer aswell. At Chipotle, we set up a table in hope that the customers checking out would take a look and support our cause. In total of both nights, we raised a total of $306. Thank you Chipotle!
On January 3rd, we held a fundraising night at Chick-fil-A to spread awareness about Team Mathias and childhood cancer to our community. Thank you Chick-fil-A for hosting us!
